Frustration Required
One of my favorite things about working with Pain Reprocessing Therapy clients is how quickly improvement can happen. Clients routinely share real shifts in their pain & symptoms in the first few sessions. Then…the work begins. Ups & downs with symptoms happen. Flares & setbacks come along. Or the pain gets better but just hasn't quite gone away yet. Cue the frustration! When we hit that frustration, it most definitely doesn’t feel good, and many of us stop there because we really don’t like that feeling. Read on here — you’re about to learn why feeling frustrated is the exact thing we need to teach our nervous systems something new.
Building Blocks of Happiness
Last year I found my keys to an amazing year of productivity, energy, and ease, centered around the notion that people who are happy and feel good tend to perform at their best. So I dove into a new set of practices designed to up-level my happiness index, with the very happy side effects of an increase in productivity and overall work-life performance. Those practices? Gratitude, Exercise, Mindfulness, and Sleep.
Your Body Holds Your Story
The story reflected in and unfolding through your body reflects the “Map of You” — your internal landscape of mind & body — and wires you to operate in the ways you do without even having to try. This map influences your physical body, your relationships, your career, and how you approach the many obstacles on your life’s journey. Our job together is to uncover that story to help you heal & thrive.
